Doxypet tablets contain doxycycline hydrochloride along with lactic acid bacillus spores. Doxycycline is an antibiotic of the tetracycline class. It is bacteriostatic in nature and works by inhibiting protein synthesis at the initiation step by interacting with the 30S ribosomal subunit.
