It helps in cases where enzyme production by the pancreas is reduced which decreases nutrition absorption and rapid weight loss in spite of good food intake. Exocrine pancreatic enzymes enable good digestion of carbohydrates, proteins & fats.

Some clinical signs of exocrine pancreatic insufficiency are Oily/ fatty stools, excessive hunger without weight gain, persistent diarrhea non-responsive to regular treatment, large volume of loose stools, rapid weight loss. Can be clinically diagnosed using Serum cPL(Canine pancreas-specific lipase)(normal value >400 μg/L), Serum TLI(Trysine like Immunoreactivity)(reference value dogs <5 μg/L, Cats <8 μg/L), and ultrasonography.

Pancreasure caps contain enteric-coated micro pellets of highly active protease that helps break down protein into smaller polypeptides, Lipase which helps break down fats into monoglycerides and free fatty acids and amylase which breaks down carbs into monosaccharides and simple sugars. Enteric coating ensures enzymes are not destroyed before and released in the small intestine where they are needed and utilized.

Usual dosage is 1 capsule per 10kg bodyweight in puppies, kittens and cats. 2 capsules per day for dogs of body weight 10kg & above. Contents of the caps can be sprinkled over food.

Ingredients: Each Pancreassure advance enteric-coated tablet contains a minimum of 30000 Ph Eur U, Protease 1500 Ph Eur U units, and Amylase 23000 Ph Eur U, Vitamin B12 1mg. Conversion from FIP/PhEur units to USP units are: For Lipase, 1FIP/PhEur unit = 1 USP. For Amylase, 1FIP/PhEur unit = 4.15 USP. For Protease, 1FIP/PhEur unit = 62.5 USP.
