CaThyro tablets from Veko care is an anti-thyroid drug to treat hyperthyroidism in cats and kittens. Cat thyro tabs help block excess thyroid hormone production from the thyroid gland for cats suffering from too much thyroid hormone – having an overactive thyroid gland.
Each palatable tablet for CaThyro contains Methimazole USP aka Thiamazole. Hyperthyroidism causes various symptoms in cats ranging from increased blood pressure, thirst, urination and appetite to rapid weight loss and bad skin & coat quality. Hence hyperthyroidism needs to be treated as early as possible.

Indications/ Uses :
- CaThyro is indicated for the treatment of hyperthyroidism in cats.
- It may also be used to control hyperthyroidism in dogs with functional thyroid tumors (off-label use).
- Methimazole may be used to protect the kidneys in dogs receiving cisplatin, an anti-cancer drug.
Directions for use:
- As prescribed by practicing veterinarian.
- Usual dosage of methimazole is 5-10mg/cat daily. Daily dosage should be divided into two halves.
