Vivaldis Vet Thyro is an established treatment for hypothyroidism in dogs & cats. It comes in perfect strengths for veterinary use. Each tab of vet thyro contains Levothyroxine sodium IP 0.2mg or 0.6mg as per strength of tab purchased. Daily oral administration of synthetic thyroid hormone Levothyroxine LT4, Levothyroxine restores adequate thyroid hormone concentration.

Levothyroxine is converted to hormone T3 which binds to thyroid receptor proteins and controls DNA transcription, stimulates protein synthesis, promotes gluconeogenesis, increases basal metabolic rate, helps in proper utilization and mobilization of glycogen stores.

Dosage: Usual dosage is 0.02mg/kg/day to 0.04mg/kg/day in dogs & cats or as advised by prescribing veterinarian. Dosage can be increased by 25% when total T4>6 Micrograms/dL.

Treatment is usually long term and helps improve conditions related to hypothyroidism like decreased metabolism, skin & coat problems etc.
