Vivaldis Finapet 5mg Tablets for Dogs, pack of 10 Tablets
Finapet Tablets contain Finasteride for the management of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia in dogs. Finasteride, a synthetic 4-azasteroid compound. It is a specific inhibitor of steroid Type II 5alpha-reductase, an intracellular enzyme that converts the androgen testosterone into 5alpha-dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Prevalence of BPH (benign prostatic hyperplasia) is 80% in dogs older than 6 years and 95% older than 9 years of age.

Indications/ Uses :
- Finasteride is indicated for treatment of symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) intact male dogs with an enlarged prostate to:
Improve symptoms Reduce the risk of acute urinary retention.
Directions for Use:
- Recommended dose of Finasteride in dogs is 0.1-0.5 mg/kg OD or 5 mg orally once a day for 10-50 kg BW.
- Can be administered with or without meals.
